Microneedling is very effective for helping to combat multiple different skin concerns by using a hand-held device with sterile tiny needles at different depths to penetrate the skin, causing tiny micro channels. By doing this we are creating controlled trauma which will start the process of skin healing by producing collagen and elastin and sending it straight to the affected areas to repair and restore the skin, this helps to reduce wrinkles, sun damage, pigmentation, large pores, textured skin, acne scaring, stretch marks and gives a glow to the skin.

The micro-channels created are great for allowing a topical serum to be absorbed into the skin to make the treatment bespoke to each individual skin concern. We will discuss what it is you are wanting to achieve and will use a particular topical serum tailored to your skin concern to enhance your desired results.

Microneedling is described by most clients as uncomfortable rather than painful. The newest types of derma pens cause the least discomfort as they deliver treatment extremely quickly using vibration. 

A topical anesthetic cream is applied to numb the skin to make the procedure more comfortable. It will normally take up to 20-30 minutes for the topical anesthetic to work and 20-30 minutes for the treatment. 

Your practitioner will recommend the number of micro-needling treatments required to achieve the desired results. Usually three to four treatments are required initially around 4-6 weeks apart.

In the treatment of stretch marks, acne scars and other types of scarring, up to six procedures may be necessary

We also recommend maintaining this treatment throughout the year to help keep the skin looking glowing, youthful, healthy and to help prevent signs of ageing.
